You can return to the Memories view seen above, or go directly to Videos, Photos, or Albums (we often create an album of the photos and videos we want to use in a movie to make it easier to select everything from one place-useful if it’s a review of the year, for example). This will take you to a page of links to photos and videos. In this case, tap the + icon on the left side of the main panel.

To get an idea of how your iMovie is coming along, you can “scroll” through the clips by swiping your finger across the timeline.

Transitions are added between each clip to make them smooth. iMovie will automatically arrange the clips in sequential order on a timeline (the strip at the bottom of the screen).Tap the clips or photos you want to use (you can always add more later), then tap Create Movie. At the bottom of the screen, under the heading Create Movie, you will see the number of clips selected and the length of the movie (assuming they have not been edited). Simply tap on the clips and photos you want to use for your movie. The next screen gives you access to all the videos and photos stored on your iPhone, organized by “Moments,” which should mean that events are sorted into categories, which could make it easier to quickly find all your vacation videos.Step 2: Choose the clips you want in your iMovie To get to grips with iMovie we recommend starting with Movie. The former is essentially a blank canvas, while Trailer uses pre-built templates into which you can insert stills and video. You’ll be presented with two styles of project: Movie or Trailer.Tap the Create Project button in the main panel. Before proceeding, we recommend you to update iPhone and iPad to the latest OS. Read on and we’ll walk you through some of the basic functions you can do with this native editing application. Sure, the iPhone and iPad are capable of shooting amazing videos, but what do you do with them later? How do you edit these videos in ways other than simple cropping or how do you join a couple of clips together to create a single video? That’s where iMovie comes in.
